Glynneath for the third time this season saw victory snatched from their grasp in the last minute against a Waunarlwydd side fighting for their Division one survival.Glynneath enjoyed the advantage of a strong wind in the first half but it was the visitors who went close but the Glynneath defence held firm repelling drives close to their line.Waunarlwydd looked certain to score after a touch line move but a great tackle from behind denied the visitors a try but drum half Leighton Lamb was in support to cross in the corner.Alan Pope adding the conversion. With Jack O’Reilly firing over two quick penalties in succession Glynneath were right back in the game. The visitors received a yellow card ten minutes into the second half and Jack O’Reilly punished them with his third penalty which put his side in front for the first time in the game.Glynneath were looking threatening and only the final pass denied them a further score. A great break by centre Jed O’Reilly carved the visitors defence open and after Calum McPhee was stopped short of the line ,Alex Burton popped up to score the try.Jack O’Reilly converting. With the game looking to run away from Waunarlwydd,Lee Evans struck two penalties within five minutes and it was game on again !!His side was hit with another yellow card and with Glynneath pounding the visitors line another twist to the game saw them break out of defence and score at the opposite end breaking Glynneath hearts ,Rob Porter the hero !!!!Full time Glynneath 16 Waunarlwydd 18
