Glynneath v Skewen

Glynneath ended their poor run on an incredible night at Abernant Park ,overcoming their bogey side Skewen in emphatic and unexpected fashion after they lost a player to a red card after 30 minutes.Glynneath took an early lead when Dylan Francis slotted over a penalty .The lead was short lived as the visitors hit back with a try by Richard Davies converted by Andrew Busselli.Glynneath came more into the game and when they went close to the Skewen line a lost ball under the posts saw the visitors clear their line and gain a penalty deep in the Glynneath half which Busselli converted .Two Dylan Francis penalties put his side right back into the game before they had to play out the last hour with fourteen men.The numerical advantage was evened out when Skewen were given a  yellow card .The second half was all Glynneath as their seven forwards raised their game and went close on a few occasions as they pounded the visitors line .Skewen were guilty of giving away penalty after penalty and were punished when Glynneath’s Adam Nation went over wide out .Dylan Francis fired over an excellent touch line conversion.Skewen couldn’t get any relief from the home sides strangle hold and another infringement saw Glynneath being awarded a penalty try at the posts . When Dylan Francis struck another successful penalty to increase his sides lead it looked all over but young winger Kye Morgan on as a substitute showed his pace and strength to go over for a late try.
