Glynneath won through to the next round of the plate with an exciting win over a lively and well drilled North Wales outfit.It was the visitors who took the early initiative when wing Lloyd Evans got on the end of a kick through to win the race for a touchdown.Ryan Evans converting.A long passage of play saw Glynneath going close and it was fifteen minutes before the first scrum ,and the Glynneath pack flexed their muscles as they drove the visitors off the ball ,destroying their set piece.Glynneaths Jack O’Reilly pulled three points back with a penalty.Glynneath were getting on top and only some stubborn Llandudno defence denied them a score .From a defensive position the visitors scored a breakaway try when Rhys Henderson slipped numerous tackles to score .Ryan Pike converting .Pike increased his sides lead with a penalty to put his side into a commanding 17-3 lead.A second penalty by Jack O’Reilly kept his side in the match and when Josh Morris popped up wide out to take the final pass he strolled over for a try ,some slick handling creating the score.When Glynneath were down to 14 men after a yellow card a comeback looked unlikely,but not conceding a point in that period was a moral boost ,and when the visitors suffered with a card of their own Glynneath made them pay with Steff Stone going over wide out .Jack O’Reilly converting to put his side in front for the first time .Glynneath increased their lead when an incredible take by Captain James Parry saw him release his backs Alex Burton racing away to the corner.Glynneath manage to close out the final minutes for an excellent victory.Full time Glynneath 23 Llandudno 17 Sent from my iPhone
