Glynneath returned to winning ways with an emphatic win over visitors Nantyffyllon with the home side in control throughout.It didn’t take long for Glynneath to open the scoring and after going close , hooker Craig Tennant was driven over for the homes side first try.They looked certain to add to that but two wayward passes just yards from the visitors line cost them.The Glynneath scrum was dominant and their power was rewarded with a penalty try.Again Glynneath wasted no time in applying more pressure and Craig Tennant powered over for his second try of the game ,Dylan Francis converting.Nantyffyllon’s first real venture into the Glynneath 22 saw them put their first points on the board when Owen Lyons went over wide out the ball moving along the line after Glynneath defended some powerful drives to their line by the visitors. Rhodri Davies converting well from the touch line.When the visitors were given a yellow card Glynneath made their numerical advantage tell and from another strong scrum Calum McPhee got the touchdown.Glynneath well on top scored their fifth try when Jordan Griffiths went over unopposed wide out .Dylan Francis adding the extra points.Glynneath kept the tempo up and centre Jed O’Reilly carved the visitors defence wide open with a strong run to the line.Dylan Francis converting .The visitors scored a late consolation try when Rhodri Stokes touchdown from a driving maul.They weren’t finished and they looked certain to score from a breakaway but a superb chase and cover tackle by Will Thomas saved the try.And it was Thomas who had the final say when Glynneath snapped up a loose pass and the ball found Will Thomas who raced away on a touchline run for a great try .
