Early Glynneath pressure saw Pontypool's defence hold out before they made their way downfield for Tom Hancock to put them in front with a penalty. A late tackle by Pontypool saw Jack O'Reilly punish them with a penalty of his own. Great catch and drive by Glynneath saw it result in a penalty and a yellow card for the visitors. From the line out Steffan Stone side-stepped his way over for a try. Jack O'Reilly converting. It was Glynneath's turn to suffer a yellow card and Pontypool took advantage with Josh Hurley racing around to the posts. Hancock converting. A kick ahead and favourable bounce gifted a second try for the visitors, Aeron Quick going over. Hancock converting. Five minutes into the second half Jack O'Reilly fired over a penalty. Glynneath enjoying a lot of possession couldn't break the excellent Pooler defence. Dan Haile sealed the game for the visitors with a try before a nasty neck injury to a Pontypool player held play up for 50 mins. The new ruling states a game has to be played the full 80 minutes for the result to stand. With both teams able to benefit from the remaining minutes, Glynneath a losing bonus point and the visitors a four try bonus, it was Pontypool who enjoyed success with a converted try in the 79th minute.
