Last season Glynneath struggled to gain many bonus points but this season they’ve acquired quiet a few !! Nantyffyllon unbeaten at home this season were put to the sword in the opening 20 mins Glynneath running in three converted tries. The first after a strong run by flanker Mathew Davies carved open the home defence with a strong run and his off load saw fellow flanker and Captain James Parry on his shoulder with some great support play to finish off the move .Dylan Francis converting. The second try eclipsed the first after some quick hands along the backs ,the forwards took over with an some great inter passing down the touchline and prop Adam Nation involved earlier in the move finished up going over for a superb try .Dylan Francis adding the conversion. The tries kept coming and wing Alex Burton after some more excellent back play went over under the posts, again Francis converting.Other sides might have rolled over and conceded but Nantyffyllon are a tough beast at home and they hit back with a try from a driving maul Calum Buttle getting the touchdown.Rhodri Davies converting.Nanty came more into the game and enjoyed ten minutes of pressure but the Glynneath defence held firm but finally cracked conceding a penalty which Rhodri Davies duly fired over .After weathering the storm Glynneath regained their composure and exerted pressure of their own and after being stopped short of the line some drives to the home posts saw the ball spread wide and Alex Burton with still a lot of work to do did exceptionaly well to squeeze in at the corner for a bonus point try .Dylan Francis with a hundred percent kicking stat in the game saw his touchline conversion strike the upright!! Again Nantyffyllon hit back when Calum Buttle crossed for his second try of the game and when Rhodri Davies converted it gave his side hope but that was extinguished when Calum McPhee powered over from a driving maul .A superb touchline conversion by Dylan Francis sealed the game and finished off an excellent all round display by Glynneath.Full time Nantyffyllon 17 Glynneath 33
