Glynneath saw victory snatched from their grasp in an incredible end to this game!!Glynneath were on top in the opening exchanges and for the second week running they were denied a certain try when prop David Jones proved unstoppable from close to the line but the referee failed to award the try. Glynneath we’re enjoying most of the possession and territory but fail to convert it into points. Glynneath were reduced to fourteen men because of a yellow card and Bonymaens Lawrence Thomas who missed an earlier kick at goal was successful with his second attempt. They increased their lead when speedy wing Nathan Brooks showed his pace to outstrip the Glynneath cover to run around to the posts to give Lawrence Thomas the easiest of conversions. Two Dylan Francis penalties put Glynneath right back into the game .When Bonymaen had a yellow card of their own Glynneath’s Ioan Jones went over for a try after a catch and drive from a line out twenty metres out.Dylan Francis fired over his third penalty of the game to increase his sides lead. When Glynneath suffered a second yellow card they kept their line intact and when back up to full compliment they took control of the game .After clearing their lines they drove downfield but with the clock on red they lost possession deep in the visitors half and when the ball was kicked upfield Glynneath failed to win the race for the touchdown having adjudged to hold the Bonymaen player back at the line and the resulting Penalty try gave the visitors an incredible last gasp 16-17 win !!
